JULY FIELD CALENDAR

The 2010 State Softball Tournament will be played at Twin Falls High School. 

The Lady Wolves defeated Highland, 5-3 on Thursday evening in the first round of the State Tournament. 

Post Falls defeated Timberline in the 2nd round of the state tournament, 12-2 at noon on Friday.  The ladies hit the field again at 3:00 against the Wolves from Lake City.  Down 3-2 in the top of the 7th inning, Elaine Sperry knocked a two-run shot out of the park to take a 4-3 lead.  Erin Keen retired the side to end the game and eliminate Lake City from the Tournament.

At 5:00 the ladies took on the Highland Rams from Pocatello for the 2nd time in 24 hours.  Down 6-0, the wolves bounced back with the help of a Kendra Nagy Grand Slam and never looked back.  They won the game 12-8 and will face Rocky Mountain at 10:00 am Saturday at CSI. The girls finished the season with a 6-7 loss to Rocky Mountain, taking home the third place trophy!  Congratulations on a tremendous season!

VARSITY SOFTBALL

The Varsity Softball team finished the regular season with a 17-3 conference record and will enter the district tournament as the #1 seed. The lady wolves rolled over the Caldwell Cougars with a 12-4 victory on Saturday.  Erin Keen pitched for the win. 

The wolves lost to Mt. View on Tuesday, 3-9.

The Softball team qualified for the state tournament on Wednesday night with an 8-1 victory over Capital.  They will represent District III as the #3 seed at the State Tournament next week at Twin Falls High School.  They open play against the #1 seed from Eastern Idaho at 5:00 pm on Thursday, May 20th.

Congratulations to the 2010 SIC Champions from Timberline High School.  The JV Softball team defeated Eagle, 11-10, in 8 innings to claim the championship for the wolves.  Tremendous job on an amazing season!
